Our client, a leading healthcare organization specializing in patient support programs, is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist (Bilingual) to join their team. As a Reimbursement Specialist, you will be part of the Patient Support Services supporting healthcare providers, pharmacies, and patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $25-26.44/hr DOE
Shift: 8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm
What's the Job?
- Complete and submit Special Authorization/Prior Authorization packages accurately and efficiently from start to finish.
- Advocate and communicate proactively with provincial drug programs and private insurers to determine coverage options and pursue appeals when necessary.
- Coordinate with pharmacies to align drug coverage and resolve filling or billing issues to ensure seamless patient therapy access.
- Identify and propose financial assistance options for patients to support their access to therapies.
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation in electronic systems, supporting data integrity and program reporting.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Canadian reimbursement navigation or patient support programs, especially with chronic or specialty therapies requiring PA/SA.
- Strong understanding of provincial and private coverage criteria, and proficiency in navigating payer portals.
- Comfortable working in a paperless environment with skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, CRM, and web-based tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of PIPEDA, adverse event reporting, and compliance standards.
