Navigo Community Psychology are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and motivated
Psychological Therapist, to work within our service to cover a period of Maternity Leave.
The role is full-time howeverpart time hours and flexible working would be considered.
The service provides supportto adults across North East Lincolnshire and can receive referrals for avariety of clinical presentations, including Complex-PTSD, moderate to severe
Anxiety and Depression, Bipolar and Personality Disorder.
The team is made upof a range of psychological professionals, who are all passionate about providing high quality psychological care. We also value the importance of team working, peer support and having access to regular CPD opportunities.
Please note the earliest start date for this position is 05th May 2026.
Main duties of the jobThe Psychological therapist would be expected to makeskilled evaluation and treatment plans for people with complex psychologicalneeds, often presenting with comorbidities and a longstanding history ofdifficulties.
They would also implement and monitor specialisedevidence-based psychological interventions, taking into account the complexityof needs identified.
Psychology staff are provided with a day working from home to encourage the opportunity for CPD practice and support with administrative duties.
The successful candidate will join a team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and Assistant Psychologists, whom work closely with colleagues within the local Community Mental Health Teams and other Navigo services.

Job responsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY
Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of specialist psychological care to clients with complex mental health conditions,which may include challenging behaviours.
To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families and promote at all times a positive image of people withmental ill health and any associated disabilities.
To provide advice, guidance and when applicable, clinical supervision to less experienced colleagues within the designated psychologyservice and to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
To be pro-active in continual service improvement within ownarea.

MAIN DUTIES & CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Providesspecialist psychological assessment of clients with complex conditions based onthe appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety ofsources.
1.2 Formulatesplans for specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice. Negotiates the implementation of such plans with clients and/or their carers.
1.3 Implements arange of specialist psychological therapies for individual clients, carers, andgroups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required.
1.4 Evaluatestherapy options and makes decisions about treatment.
1.5 Responsible forrecognising the potential for, or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect,including poor clinical practice, reporting all such concerns and taking allreasonable steps to protect the client. Responsible for identifying and reporting concerns regarding the safeguarding of children who may be at risk.
1.6 Undertakes risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provides specialistadvice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment andrisk management.
