We are searching for a Personal Attendant to join our Parkland At Home team based in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Meeting clients’ personal needs according to an individualized plan of serviceReferences and communicates updates to individualized service plansPerforms all care tasks assigned as part of daily job routines to meet client needsAssists client in completing personal care (including bathing, mouth care, etc.)Assists client in light housekeeping and meal preparationAssists client in attending mealtimes and provide cueing assistance when neededCompletes basic laundry services for clientsAssists clients in attending and participating in RecreationalAccompanies clients to outside appointments (i.e. medical, grooming, shopping etc.) using an approved transportation methodAdheres to recommendations made by Parkland at Home and nursingEnsures supplies and equipment are properly utilizedDocuments all completed care tasks assigned as part of daily job routinesDocuments and communicates all changes in clients’ health to the Parkland at Home office and if applicable, nursing staffEnsures supply and equipment needs are properly communicated to the Parkland at Home office and if applicable, nursing staffClearly communicates expectations related to safety in the workplaceEnsures client safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training providedAbout You

Graduate grade 12 or equivalentPrevious experience working with the elderly in the greater community or senior’s livingHaving the knowledge and ability to use computers and information technology to improve efficiencyExperience with Dementia and Alzheimer’s considered an assetProof of valid First Aid & CPR considered an assetProof of valid of the Food Handlers Certification considered an assetValid Driver’s license an familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices required.Valid automobile insurance required.Passion for ensuring people are living their best lifePositive attitude and enjoys working with the senior populationAbility to work flexible hours, are committed to your work responsibilities and can work independentlyAn understanding that Personal Attendants work holidays and weekends; and work a variety of hoursAbout Us
