Adult Social Worker – Specialist Community Team

Specialism: Social Worker – Adults

Location: Warrington, UK

Pay rate: £30 per hour

Salary type: Hourly

Contract: Temporary (16 March 2026 – 11 May 2026)

Working pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week

Working arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite per week)

Role overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Specialist Community Team at Warrington Borough Council. This full-time locum role offers hybrid working, combining flexibility with meaningful onsite collaboration.

You will play a vital role within adult community services, focusing on preparation for adulthood and mental health pathways, while delivering high-quality interventions in line with the Care Act 2014
.

What you will do

Work within adult community teams, supporting preparation for adulthood and mental health services.

Undertake Care Act assessments in a fast-paced environment, ensuring positive outcomes for service users.

Manage safeguarding responsibilities in line with statutory duties.

Contribute to duty services, ensuring timely responses to urgent matters.

Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records.

Effectively manage competing priorities while working under pressure.

Requirements

Minimum of three years’ post-qualified experience
, particularly within adult community teams.

Strong ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.

Relevant social work qualification and registration (Social Work England).

Employment history and references will be thoroughly checked.

Understanding of IR35 regulations (role falls inside IR35).
