Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for two ambitious and highly skilled Regional Senior Orthotists to join our Opcare team. This role provides exceptional clinical development through exposure to a wide range of orthotic clinics across a defined region, making it ideal for clinicians who thrive on variety, autonomy, and professional growth.

As a Regional Senior Orthotist, you will travel throughout a defined region (with occasional national travel) to deliver high-quality Opcare orthotic clinics. Approximately 70% of the role involves travel, with some overnight stays depending on clinic schedules. Working closely with National Operations Managers, you will play a key role in maintaining clinic utilisation and service continuity across our Orthotic services. When not delivering clinics, there will be opportunities to support clinical tasks and projects remotely.

As an experienced, HCPC-registered Orthotist, you will continue to develop your career within Opcare by delivering exceptional, patient-centred care to a diverse caseload, including both routine and complex, multifactorial needs. You will work autonomously, undertaking comprehensive assessments, prescribing and fitting orthoses, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate extensive clinical experience across a wide range of patient groups and conditions, using advanced problem-solving and clinical reasoning to deliver evidence-based care.
  • Work independently within established protocols, adhering to prescription guidelines with minimal supervision.
  • Provide expert second opinions and clinical leadership, contributing to multidisciplinary team (MDT) decision-making and supporting the management of complex cases.
  • Travel to multiple Opcare orthotic clinics as required, delivering consistently high standards of care to patients and customers.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring clinical practice aligns with service expectations and supporting colleagues to achieve performance standards.
Skills and Experience:
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both formal and informal.
  • Proven experience working within a busy, fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Evidence of specialist clinical focus within the discipline through teaching, research, or advanced clinical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple competing demands.
  • Published evidence of specialist work within clinical field.
  • Sound working knowledge of REHAPP (Opcares clinical management system).
  • Experience mentoring students or graduates
  • Knowledge or experience with CAD/CAM
Qualifications:
  • BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or equivalent
  • HCPC registered
  • Full driving licence
  • Relevant MSc, or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical area.
  • Practice educator training
  • BAPO member
  • ISPO member
What we Offer:
  • Competitive market salary, Company Car and Travel Allowance
  • Incremental holiday allowance stating at 35 days, increasing to 41 days with length of service (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Buy & Sell Annual Leave Scheme
  • Refer a Friend incentive scheme
  • Enhanced Family Leave/Pay
