About the Role

We're looking to appoint a Commercial Development Manager for our Therapeutic Apheresis and Cell Therapy team . This is a home based role with frequent travel.

The Commercial Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic sales growth and further market penetration of Fresenius Kabi’s Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) technologies across UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia. This role will build and manage key relationships with academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally within Fresenius Kabi to deliver tailored solutions. With novel applications and technologies in development, this new role is pivotal in expanding the company’s footprint further in the CGT space, contributing to revenue growth and market leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse and understand the market opportunity in the designated region, developing the short and long term commercial strategy for growing the CGT portfolio.
  • Execute on sales strategies to meet annual sales targets for the CGT portfolio working closely with field applications specialists, marketing and product management.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key opinion leaders and other stakeholders across the CGT sector biotech, pharma and academia to provide opportunity for early adoption of novel CGT technologies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of CGT technologies and their applications, staying current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor offerings.
  • Represent the company at national and international congresses, workshops, and industry events.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from customers and prospects to inform product development, marketing strategies, and pricing models.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular reporting on activities, opportunities, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Manage customer relationships effectively and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences including but not exclusive to Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Cellular Therapy.
  • Hands on lab experience and ability to interpret flow cytometry data desirable e.g., PhD/work experience.
  • 2+ years experience in sales, account management, or business development within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical devices industries.
  • Experience with in the Cell and Gene Therapy industry, particularly hands on-GMP experience and understanding of manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., MHRA, EMA, FDA).

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret scientific data and technical documentation.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Team player with an inherent desire to collaborate with others to ensure goals are met.
  • Willingness to travel as required, this is a home based role with frequent travel expected.
