A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations. You will support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards. You will deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions under our NHS contracts and support you to obtain any additional accreditations required.

You will work fully supported by in‑store, regional and home office teams for all clinical or service queries.

• A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
• A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
• MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
• On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
• Able to use your skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience
• Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department
• Evidence of Right to Work in the UK
• Evidence of NHS performer list and 2 clinical references (or WECS/WGOS accreditation if applying in Wales)
