We are looking for individuals who have a flexible approach to working, those who are caring, kind and compassionate, and happy to work as part of a large but inclusive team within the Ultrasound Departments of The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust includes Pontefract, Pinderfields (Wakefield) and Dewsbury Hospitals, the newly opened Wakefield Community Diagnostic centre (CDC) and from 6 GP practises in the Community. You will be expected to work across the three hospital sites.
Healthcare Support Workers undertake a variety of duties which include administrative and patient care, working closely with sonographers in the clinical setting.
A reasonable standard of secondary education and basic computer skills are essential.

Patterns of work are daytime shifts with a requirement to work between 7:30am and 6:00pm. Services are provided 7 days per week across the three hospital sites.

Main duties of the jobAs a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) you will be responsible for the delivery of holistic, patient-centred care, which is planned and directed by healthcare professionals, and to support the radiology team in the delivery of patient care which is safe and effective and in accordance with the Trusts values and behaviours.
The post holder is fundamental to providing care to patients/carers/relatives at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

Job responsibilities- Willingness to undertake the Care Certificate and induction programme.
- Willingness to undertake Functional skills level 2 Maths & English if not already qualified at GCSE or equivalent level in Maths & English.
