Position: Band 6 Senior Body Interventional Radiology (IR) Radiographer

To support the Area Leads / Deputy Leads in the provision of a safe, effective and high-quality Imaging Service throughout the general X‑ray and Body Angiography departments. To work within the Imaging multi‑disciplinary teams. This post also involves a rotation through other departments / modalities and will remain flexible in line with future service development. Participate in the Body Angiography Service, both in and out of hours.

We are looking for a motivated Radiographer who would like to further their career as a Band 6 Senior Body Interventional Radiology (IR) Radiographer with a commitment to the X‑ray Imaging Rotational Service. In the X‑ray and Body IR departments, you will be part of a team that are working with highly specialised imaging techniques across multiple imaging modalities, including IR, fluoroscopy, theatre and X‑ray.

Due to our close links to the University and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, we can offer the opportunity to work with the most up to date technology and imaging protocols and be at the forefront of new research and development techniques. As a senior member of the IR team, you will be required to carry out a wide range of complex X‑ray, fluoroscopy and interventional imaging procedures, working independently and as part of the multi‑disciplinary team, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and professional clinical decision‑making skills throughout the senior rotation.

The post holder will be required to participate in the out of hours on call service provision (on site within 30 minutes of the call). You will have a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and proven participation in CPD and must have current HCPC Registration. Substantial X‑ray imaging experience is essential for the role, with an expectation for the post holder to have completed or willing to complete the local X‑ray band 6 link grade competency package.

Full and comprehensive training in IR will be provided.
