The Role

As part of our dynamic Student Support Services team, you’ll provide short-term, solution-focused counselling to a diverse student population on-site at our City Campus. You’ll help students get their counselling as quickly as possible during peak periods to enable them to navigate personal, emotional, and psychological challenges that may impact their academic journey. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across wellbeing, mental health, and academic support to ensure students receive the right help at the right time.

You’ll be confident in managing risk, maintaining professional boundaries, and working within ethical frameworks. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values inclusivity, and is committed to student success. You’ll be supported by a team that values your expertise and encourages innovation in how we support our students.

What You’ll Need
  • A recognised counselling qualification and professional accreditation registration- A Relevant graduate degree or vocational equivalent and BACP Accreditation or equivalent (e.g.UKCP; BPS; BABCP).
  • Experience working with young adults or in a higher education setting
  • A flexible, student-centred approach
  • Confidence using digital platforms for remote support
