Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Procurement Business Manager in the provision of a professional procurement service to Public Health Wales contributing to the development and achievement of the the teams objectives.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

This post is fixed term for 24 months to meet the needs of the service

Person Specification Qualifications and knowledge
  • Qualified to CIPS (Level
    4)/NVQ2/3 or equivalent experience
  • 5 GCSE's grade C and above, including Maths & English or equivalent experience
Ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work positively as part of a team
Ability
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft products
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets
Experience
  • Proven ability to establish and enhance effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work to deadlines
Knowledge / Experience
  • Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through NVQ level 3 or Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply, plus knowledge of contract law acquired through short courses and experience
  • Tendering and specification writing
