Job Summary
Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator (CAT8 Haematology). We require a passionate, enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Patient Pathway Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be an excellent proactive team player offering commitment to support clinical and non-clinical staff. Strong customer‑service skills, ability to multi‑task under challenging conditions and self‑organisation are essential.

- May close early if sufficient applications received.
- Act as the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients’ pathway of care, working within a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Provide expertise in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.
- Supervise and allocate work to the PPC team.
- Ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer‑focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
- Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales.
- Educated to A-level, or NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care, or equivalent experience.
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A–C.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of handling patient/customer queries.
- Experience of supervising staff.
- Experience of using patient data systems.
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Experience of handling patient complaints.
