Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) - a chance to join a small team to support a service for the Lothians offering emotional and practical person‑centred support for people affected by cancer.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a service that supports people affected by cancer across the Lothians. The post forms a job share and between them act as the central point of contact for the service. The role offers a unique opportunity to work with a range of partners across health and social care, local authority, third sector and users and carers.

Your role :

The first point of contact for the Pan‑Lothian Improving the Cancer Journey service so that people affected by cancer can access the service, as well as be the point of contact for colleagues from across the Lothians. Provide administrative tasks to support service delivery and ongoing monitoring of the ICJ service.

Contribute to the development of the Pan‑Lothian programme, involving health and social care professionals, Local Authority, users, carers and wider public and third sector colleagues.

Whilst this post is based within NHS Lothian, flexible home working can be offered. This post will report into the Midlothian HSCP Admin Function.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
