Recovery College Coordinator

Leeds Recovery College delivers a range of community based educational training and wellbeing courses designed to increase understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and personal recovery.

Our courses are open to adults 18+ who live, work, or study in Leeds. We also offer a dedicated programme of courses for staff working across the Leeds health and care system, supporting their wellbeing and personal development.

The Recovery College Coordinator plays a central role in coordinating and delivering our course programmes.
This role has a particular focus on developing and coordinating our staff wellbeing programme.

A key part of the role is leading on course delivery, working alongside co-facilitators to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.

Alongside this, the role supports the smooth running of day-to-day operations, builds strong relationships with students, facilitators, and wider stakeholders and helps ensure a welcoming, recovery focused experience for all learners and staff.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Recovery College Development Lead the post holder will support the day-to-day operational delivery of Recovery College courses. This includes:

  • Leading on the development and delivery of mental health and wellbeing courses (with a particular focus on staff wellbeing).
  • Ensuring that educational standards and co-production values are maintained.
  • Supporting and developing the facilitator base by nurturing both lived experience and learnt experience facilitators. This includes offering training, development opportunities and building confidence and facilitation skills for everyone involved in co-delivery.
  • Contributing to the promotion of the college, both digitally and face to face. This will include leading on specific partner relationships, attending network meetings, developing campaigns and events.
  • Supporting the overall co-ordination and management of the college including working with the administration team, handling enquiries, liaising with internal and external services and maintaining college records and databases as required.
