Job summary
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team at Mansfield Community Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions to a varied caseload, including neurological and multi-pathology patients, primarily within our outpatient clinic setting.
You will play an important role in supporting person-centred care, so strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of individualized rehabilitation approaches are essential. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping people regain independence and who thrives in a supportive clinical environment.

Person SpecificationKnowledge and Skill Requirements
- Up to date understanding of a range of medical conditions
- Skills of reasoning and decision making for patient management
- Basic computer and administration skills
- Empathy skills
- Manual handling skills
- Must have a good understanding of the assistants role
- Organisational skills
- NVQ Level III in Care "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support" award or similar relevant award or ability to undertake training for the qualification on appointment
- Further relevant training within current clinical area
- Experience of working with patient in a hospital/ward environment
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to travel for home visits/follow up visits & access visits
