Assistant Health & Safety Consultant

This is an Assistant Health & Safety Consultant role to support an established safety team delivering CDM services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors in and around Manchester. This is a health and safety opportunity focussed around CDM and the Principal Designer role, it would be well suited to someone passionate about construction safety who is looking to develop a career in design risk management.

Some initial construction safety or CDM experience would be preferrable for someone in this role, and if successful you will receive close supervision and structured on-the-job training to support your development. A relevant health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH Construction or General is essential, as you will be working closely with the current Health & Safety lead on projects from day one.

The role is primarily office-based as you will need to work closely with existing team to develop your skills, there will also be flexibility to work from home, visit sites and client offices. The personal characteristics needed to succeed in this role are strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn and develop.

The ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines and experience in report writing or a willingness to develop this skill. You will be provided with training, development and exposure to a range of construction projects, as part of a genuinely friendly and supportive team of safety professionals.
