An Administrator plays an important part within the surgery, They need to have a high level of administrative experience, they also need to be caring, dedicated,and reliable and enjoy working with a wide range of people. They will participate fully in the running of the Practice within the scope of specifiedadministration duties detailed in the job description. You will need to provide an efficient service for the clinical staff and Patients.
Being responsible to the Practice Manage rand conducting oneself in a pleasant and business-like manner. The successful individual will be involved in exciting new income generated projects and support other administrative role within the practice.
- Support annual leave and arrange cover where necessary
- Support staff sick leave where appropriate and arrange cover where necessary
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the reception team when needed to ensure that staff achieve their primary responsibilities, and ensuring that the wait on the practice telephone lines is not excessive at any one time.
- Support and monitor staff in the use of IT; oversee and evaluate IT training where appropriate.
- Maintain a good knowledge of the clinical systems and provide training where required to staff and patients to enhance patient care.
- Coordinate and support management of the Breast Screening DNA follow ups.
- Oversee QOF and generate reports on health inequalities.

Lyndhurst Medical Centre () is a fourpartner PMS practice with a patient population of 12,700. In April 2026, Lyndhurst Medical Centre will be amalgamating with Bursted Wood Surgery, another local APMS practice based in Barnehurst. The total patient population will be 19,000 and the new practice will work across the current two sites. Both practices come in the top ten inthe 2025 patient survey for overall satisfaction within the Bexley Borough.

- Coordinate general tasks that get generated from GPs
- Oversee the day-to-day operation during working hours of the reception team to ensure that staff achieve their primary responsibilities, and ensuring that the wait on the practice telephone lines is not excessive at any one time.
- Support and monitor staff in the use of IT; organise, oversee and evaluate IT training where appropriate.
- Maintain a good knowledge of the clinical systems and provide training where required to staff and patients to enhance patient care.
- Coordinate and support management of the daily distributions of blood results.
- Coordinate and support management of 111 & OOH reports including patients with complex co-morbidities.
- Coordinate and support management of the Breast Screening DNA follow ups.

- Undertake continual persona land professional development, taking an active part in reviewing and developing the role and responsibilities, and provide evidence of learning areawhen required.

- Establish strong working relationships with GPs and practice teams and work collaboratively with others.
- Demonstrate a flexible attitude and be prepared to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time withinthe general character of the post or the level of responsibility of the role,ensuring that work is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify opportunities and gaps in the service and provide feedback to continually improve the service and contribute to business planning.
- Contribute to the wider aims and objectives of the PCNto improve and support primary care.
