Job Summary
You could be part of our friendly, innovative and enthusiastic team at East Berkshire Specialist Wheelchair Service, working as part of a high performing administration team alongside a team of specialist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Rehab Engineers and Technicians.
Based in beautiful Berkshire we cover the East of Berkshire and provide wheelchairs and specialist seating to a broad range of people (adults and children) including those with complex disabilities. We are based in a newly renovated location at 3, Abell Gardens in Maidenhead providing staff and patients with a hugely improved environment and facilities.
We work Monday through Friday with no weekend work and offer flexible and part‑time working, including working from home at times so you can have a fantastic work‑life balance.
We are looking for someone with a warm personality, who is approachable, compassionate and empathetic, with great team and people skills to join our team.
Main Duties- Coordinating and providing administrative support to our operational team, including collating and inputting data and being the first point of contact for the service.
- Responsible for reception management and welcoming patients and visitors on site.
- Managing telephone calls with service users, dealing sensitively and appropriately and taking relevant action depending on the nature of the call.
- Using patient booking systems, including BEST to help facilitate an efficient referral and booking process.
- Working with patients, relatives and carers within a multi‑disciplinary team and in partnership with professionals in health, social care, education and charities as well as with specialist providers and technicians.
Good, effective teamwork and the ability to work collaboratively is a vital part of the role.
