Would you like an opportunity to join our exciting and innovative Specialist Substance Misuse Service? I-access is seen as a forward thinking and innovative service. It has been a high performing service for many years and has remained in the NHS since it started over 3 decades ago. Quality standards are a high priority for the service and for Surrey County Council.
Due to the high performance of i-access over many years Surrey County Council and SABP have worked together to find a commissioning model that did not cause the damage and service disruption procurement processes can often result in. i-access is now jointly delivered by Surrey County Council and Surrey and Borders under a cooperation agreement.
We are offering a Band 7 opportunity to an experienced individual with substantial Substance Misuse Experience and experience in management or leadership working across Surrey to support our Guildford service.
The post holder will ensure the service in Guildford operates in a safe, effective & efficient way as part of the whole system of substance misuse services. In addition, to foster a culture that encourages and enables individuals to have an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs. The Team leader is responsible for the integrated, health and social care multi-disciplinary team.
Mainduties of the job
To be responsible for the co-ordination of roles, clarity of responsibilities and the deployment and use of resources within the Team and when required, overall service
To be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promotes an environment of user involvement and recovery.
To ensure that the recovery and harm minimisation agendas are reflected in the interventions offered and implemented.
To contribute to the development of a high quality service that is responsive to individuals needs within the i-access operational policy and procedures framework.
To lead & motivate staff to provide a pro-active and responsive high quality service, contributing to ongoing audit and evaluation
To ensure that the necessary systems & protocols for the delivery of a safe & supportive service are in place, understood & adhered to throughout the Team.
To ensure that effective communications systems are established, maintained and monitored regularly within the Team & overarching service.

Job responsibilitiesTo work with the Service Managers and clinical leads to agree clear & deliverable objectives & to ensure they are implemented & monitored.
To provide line management, including management of performance, for staff within the team.
To ensure arrangements are in place for all staff to receive regular supervision, appraisal and have their personal development plans and training needs identified and where possible met.
To ensure that all staff fulfil the requirements of statutory & mandatory training
To ensure compliance with all statutory, financial, health & safety & employment requirements
To access and use information contained within the Trusts patient based information systems.
Person Specification Qualifications- Significant and relevant post registration qualifications/experience i.e. Project management, Management/leadership training, post graduate nursing qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Substance Misuse experience working with people with complex needs
