Location: Central Newfoundland (Bishops Falls)

Advance your skills as a Health Records Technician IA at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. This position focuses on essential health records responsibilities, coding proficiency, and offers remote work options.

As a vital member of the team at WMH in the Western Zone, you will apply your knowledge of ICD
10-CA/CCI coding in a temp call-in capacity. Candidates must have extensive training in health records management, including certifications from CHIMA, to ensure precise record keeping. This role includes operational flexibility with the possibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code patient records accurately using ICD
10-CA/CCI

• Maintain confidentiality and security of health records

• Facilitate the timely processing of record requests

• Support healthcare providers with record accuracy

• Conduct regular updates and audits of medical records

Requirements:

• Completion of a full-time post-secondary office program

• Certification from a Health Records Technician course

• Typing speed of 40 words or more per minute

• Two years of relevant coding experience

• Current active membership in CHIMA
