Closing date: 28 June 2026
Part‑time, 30 hours per week; predominantly home‑working with regular travel around Gloucestershire and occasional national travel.
The E‑Rostering Team will recruit an experienced systems administrator to create and maintain clinical rosters, coordinate with unit managers, monitor rotas for changes, and generate reports for management. The role involves training staff, supporting troubleshooting, and ensuring accurate payroll.
Responsibilities- Build and update clinical rosters using Health Roster (Allocate), ensuring timely and efficient production.
- Maintain and configure the E‑Rostering system across clinical and non‑clinical services.
- Run and analyse E‑Rostering system reports to provide management with system usage overviews.
- Collaborate with staff bank colleagues to fill all shifts, maximise staffing efficiencies, and ensure continuity of service provision.
- Provide expert advice and support to managers and staff on system use, including the approval process.
- Carry out regular audits of the system to confirm proper use and accurate staff payment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality over personal information held within and outside the organisation.
- Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, delivering feedback and tips to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the E‑Rostering system provider to maximise system potential.
- Work independently to prioritise workload, meet tight deadlines, and manage time without supervision.
- Support the E‑Rostering team with additional tasks and cover for absences as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions every week and every month.
- Travel around Gloucestershire to bases and sites, and sometimes nationally.
- Educated to Higher Diploma Level in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience.
- IT qualification.
- Experience with rostering systems, preferable Health Roster (Allocate), including development and maintenance of rosters.
- Administration experience, including use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Significant experience working within the NHS or a large complex multisite organisation.
- Experience working in a temporary staffing team and knowledge of related processes.
- Experience working closely with wards, senior managers, and using ESR.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites across Gloucestershire and occasionally nationally.
- Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a wider team.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Knowledge of payroll processes.
