Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist
Promotes and sells Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within an assigned region.
Responsibilities- Identify prospective customers and develop relationships to facilitate adoption of Tandem diabetes products.
- Plan and achieve sales goals by gaining clinical acceptance of Tandem’s insulin pump therapy.
- Act as a trusted clinical partner to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, especially for type‑1 diabetes.
- Provide account sales support, ongoing education, and training to clinicians and patients on insulin pump therapy and diabetes management.
- Discuss technical aspects of insulin pump therapy and address clinical and practical concerns to drive sales.
- Offer education on diabetes self‑management, emergency procedures, and available community resources tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators and Key Opinion Leaders to increase product adoption and improve patient outcomes.
- Manage the territory, meet or exceed commercial objectives, organize and deliver product and education training sessions, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Travel extensively within the assigned region (≈80%), and occasionally abroad for training and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and privacy requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with HCPs and patients.
- Preferred knowledge of diabetes care, especially type‑1 diabetes and insulin pump therapy.
- Commercial mindset combined with clinical insight.
- Independent, structured, and able to manage own schedule.
- Experience with CRM systems and digital collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.).
- Willingness to travel up to 80% within the Netherlands (valid driver’s licence and insurance required).
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Additional preference: at least 2 years of experience in medical device sales, diabetes care, endocrinology or related clinical field.
- Background in nursing, dietetics, or equivalent health‑care education.
- Experience with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and managing complex HCP relationships.
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical sales, or diabetes care, and direct experience with individuals living with type‑1 diabetes.
- Fully remote position with required travel across regions.
