Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: $50.38 - $63.19 per hour
About the Role
We need a Supervisor, Patient Services – Emergency Department & ICU to join our leadership team, support our busy emergency department, and 5 bed Level 2 ICU. This role also supports our respiratory therapy group and collaborates with the Hospital Development team for future planning.
Responsibilities
Provide availability, support, and problem solving to the needs of the unit and across departments of the Hospital
Complete leadership core responsibilities of budget management, employee engagement and performance, incident reports follow‑up and engagement with patients and families in collaboration with the Manager
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
Actively participate and engage in Hospital Leadership activities, including sitting on relevant committees and regional meetings
Be a visible and engaged presence with staff supporting daily operations and flow
Partner with the Manager to determine core leadership responsibilities and identify additional projects to lead
Required Qualifications
A Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum 5 years of applicable clinical experience in an acute care setting
Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role
Experience in critical care/emergency medicine nursing
Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement and program initiatives
Proven ability to influence from a people‑centered lens with an education focus, data‑informed decision making and curiosity to support strategic priorities
Strong evidence of ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes
Work collaboratively to elevate clinical quality, patient safety and high standards of care
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships, enhance collaboration across departments, and create a cohesive, team‑oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN)
Demonstrated commitment to leadership development through formal education, training programs, or certifications
