Clinical Business Analyst – AmbulatoryLocation: Remote (Canada) – Monthly Travel to New Brunswick Required
Contract Type: Full-Time Contract
Duration: 2 Years + 2 Optional 1-Year Extensions
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Business Analyst – Ambulatory to support a large-scale Clinical Information Solution (CIS) implementation initiative in New Brunswick. This role will serve as a key subject matter expert responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing ambulatory care workflows within a province-wide Electronic Health Record (EHR) transformation program.
The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to standardize clinical processes, gather requirements, and support the successful implementation of a modern Clinical Information System (CIS).
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for ambulatory care workflows.
- Conduct current-state and future-state workflow assessments and gap analyses.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
- Develop process maps, business requirements documents, use cases, user stories, and training materials.
- Support the design, validation, and testing of clinical content, including:
- Order Sets
- Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE)
- Clinical Documentation Templates
- Pharmacy Workflows
- Medical Imaging Workflows
- Laboratory Workflows
- Collaborate with project managers, clinical leads, SMEs, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support change management and stakeholder communications throughout project implementation.
- Manage multiple priorities and concurrent project streams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Participate in system testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and organizational standards.
- University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst focused on ambulatory care.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with acute care EHR/CIS systems supporting ambulatory healthcare operations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience participating in Health Information System (HIS) or Clinical Information System (CIS) implementation projects.

- Experience facilitating workshops with healthcare providers and stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA.
- Previous experience within public healthcare organizations, health authorities, or government healthcare programs.
