Spring Garden Group Medical Practice has a fantastic opportunity for a part-time clinical coder to join our team.
If you are highly organised, motivated, comfortable with technology, have experience of clinical coding within primary care, this is the rolefor you.
This is a 37.5 hour per week post, and the days can benegotiated to suit you and the needs of the practice team. This job is not suitable for remote working.
Main duties of the jobAs a clinical coder, you will be reviewing electronicclinical letters, clinical e-mails, paper documentation and any other clinicalcorrespondence. From these you will identify relevant clinical findings andcode the documents appropriately and accurately in patient medical records.

Job responsibilities- Using document management within the EMIS web clinical system and Docman 10, accurately code information from clinical letters.
- Scanning of patient related documentation and coding relevant information.
- Dealing with any follow up actions from the documents, such as arranging appointments or tests.
- Deal with safeguarding documentation.
- Responding to tasks sent in the clinical system.
- Process the clinical letters in accordance with the incoming post protocol.
- Liaise closely with other members of the administrative and wider practice team.
- Computer literate, including the use of Office 365 packages, email and the internet.
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Able to multi-task
- Ability to work as part of a Team
- Hard working and reliable
- Can work without direct supervision.
- Coding experience needed or as a minimum, medical terminology or GP practice experience.
- Experience of working in a team setting.
