Overview

Postdoctoral Researcher in Health Economics at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Oxford. The role is part of a research programme focused on the economics of cardiovascular disease prevention and chronic disease modelling, funded by the European Society of Cardiology.

• Conduct economic evaluations and disease modelling.
• Analyse complex datasets using R, Stata, or Python.
• Contribute to publications, reports for funders, and conference presentations.
• Develop projects such as identifying cardiovascular disease prevention interventions and modelling their long‑term costs across European health systems.

• Holding or nearing completion of a PhD/DPhil in Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Data Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Experience in health economics, disease modelling, health technology assessment, or a related area.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with statistical software such as R, Stata, or Python.

. The position may involve a negotiated pattern of regular remote working with the line manager.

Position funded by the European Society of Cardiology for one year initially.

£39,424 - £47,779 per annum with discretionary range to £53,483 per annum (pro‑rated).
