Are you ready for a rewarding new challenge in a specialist hearing implant centre? We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist to join our enthusiastic paediatric Hearing Implant Rehabilitation Team on a permanent basis.
This post provides an exciting opportunity for Speech and Language Therapists to extend and consolidate their professional experience working with infants, children and young people with conductive and severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss.
The role is varied and will include a combination of joint clinic-based work, stand‑alone SLT assessments and remote appointments.

Main duties of the jobYou will provide a specialist hearing rehabilitation service as part of the regional hearing implant programme based at Addenbrooke's Hospital. This involves assessing patients' communication skills to determine suitability for a hearing implant within a multidisciplinary team and supporting the patient with their communication post‑implantation. The majority of the caseload is with cochlear implants; however work with other hearing implants will also be part of the post.
You will be responsible for assessing the communication skills of patients, liaison with local professionals, as well as planning, implementing and evaluating care as a specialist clinician within the hearing rehabilitation team. The post holder will contribute to maintaining and developing pathways of care, and participate in research and audit activity.
