Position: Medical Information Specialist - US Hours
Location: Greater London

Medical Information Specialist - US Hours

Medical Communications is part of our integrated commercial services. This position is fundamental to building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. The role delivers industry‑leading services, including call center staffing for responding to product information requests, identifying and in-taking adverse events and/or product quality issues, and medical writing.

Full‑time home‑office based position. Ideally located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany or Spain. The job holder must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or the UK.

Working hours:

US hours, 9‑hour shifts between 2 pm and 2 am CET, Monday through Friday.

  • Translate English documents into the target language or vice‑versa, and deliver translated responses by phone or in writing.
  • Triage and respond to drug information inquiries from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, other health‑care professionals, and consumers/patients.
  • Disseminate drug information verbally or by written correspondence.
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints during interactions with customers. Perform intake sufficient to generate initial adverse event and product complaint reports in compliance with EVERSANA‑Medical Communications and client SOPs.
  • Utilise writing skills for adverse event and product complaint narratives during intake as well as medical inquiry custom responses.
  • Coordinate processes necessary for responding to quality‑related complaints, interacting with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and the complainant.
  • Critically evaluate medical literature in researching and developing information for written dissemination to health‑care professionals.
  • Participate in miscellaneous projects including market and competitive product research, system development, sales training projects, and field liaison support.
  • Perform medical writing duties.
  • Stand on call as required.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned.
Expectations of the Job
  • Customer services: maintain and improve customer services associated with the Medical Communications Call Centre.
  • Place of work: home office or European hub office.
  • Hours:

    US hours, 9‑hour shifts between 2 pm and 2 am CET, Monday–Friday.
  • Metrics: maintain and contribute toward process improvement impacting metrics for the call centre; metrics may change annually or more frequently as needed.
  • Travel: do not travel; may travel up to 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Life Sciences or healthcare degree or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    Strong clinical background and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Language:
    English C1 level mandatory; mother‑tongue fluency in Spanish essential.
  • Strong translation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education:

    Preferred Pharma D / M Pharma or other degrees such as MSc in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology, Health Science, etc.
  • Experience:

    Call Centre, Medical Information, pharmaceutical industry, and clinical experience including medical writing.
  • Language: fluent English and native Spanish.
  • Technology:
    Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows applications; experience with Medical Information Management Systems, Safety Databases, etc.
