Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support pediatric clients, offering varying caseloads across several service models. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills and a deep understanding of best practices for treating children with developmental disabilities, especially autism. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat pediatric speech and language disorders
• Provide home-based and community services as necessary
• Work with interprofessional teams to enhance client care
• Train caregivers on effective communication techniques
• Monitor intervention outcomes and adjust strategies accordingly
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active NSCASLP licensure or eligible
• Strong written and spoken English skills
• Experience implementing therapy for autism
• Valid Nova Scotia driver's license essential
