Purpose & Scope

As Scientific Publication Lead, you play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality scientific evidence communications for Astellas-sponsored research. Within the Evidence Disclosure Chapter, you are responsible for driving clear, compelling scientific storytelling across publications and congress materials for assigned brands and ensuring evidence is effectively disseminated to Healthcare Professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan and collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align on strategy and execution.
  • Lead the development of scientific narratives and oversee the creation of abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and publication extenders.
  • Manage content development timelines, vendors, and budgets while ensuring high‑quality, compliant outputs.
  • Ensure all scientific communications meet internal SOPs and external guidelines (GPP, ICMJE) and resolve complex review feedback.
  • Monitor dissemination impact metrics and continuously optimise content strategy based on insights.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Communications, including scientific content development and review.
  • Strong ability to translate complex clinical data into clear, compelling scientific narratives and storytelling.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional and global stakeholders in an agile working environment.
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial design, drug development, and interpretation of scientific data.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for non‑promotional content and publication standards (e.g., GPP, ICMJE).
Education

Master’s degree in life sciences or a healthcare‑related field (PhD, PharmD, MD preferred) or equivalent.
