We are seeking an individual to join our busy expanding Ambulatory Care team at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is able to work well as part of our team in this nurse-led unit with a fast turnover of patients undergoing a variety of treatments and procedures.
As a band 3 Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) you will assist and work with the established ACU team in the delivery of various patient care procedures including phlebotomy, cannulation, ECG and cardiac monitor fitting both within the Ambulatory care unit and the Galloway Community Hospital as a whole.
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the service. They would require to have good organisational skills, be able to work well both individually and as part of a team and have the ability to effectively deal with ever changing priorities in their workload.
The post will include shift work to meet the needs of the service and will provide an interesting and challenging opportunity to undertake enhanced skills and develop professionally.
