NMC and HCPC professionals eligible to apply.

• Excellent starting salary at £39,500pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week)
• Pontefract based when working on-site
• 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + ability to buy or sell 5 more days + pension

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits.

The DWP makes the final decision – you gather information and produce the report.

• Registered with the NMC (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified (Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist) with 1 year or more broad post‑registration experience
• Proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
