Regional Medical Affairs Director (m/f/d) - Vaccines

Job Overview

You will lead medical affairs activities for the 'Rest of World (ROW)' cluster, which includes Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and Benelux. The role reports to the Head of Global Medical Affairs and is fully remote within Germany or Switzerland, with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional and national medical plans, including KEE engagement and insights generation to inform strategy and ensure effective scientific communication.
  • Lead and develop the ROW Medical Affairs team, including organization design, recruitment, performance management, and capability building.
  • Drive external engagement with key external experts (KEEs), investigator-initiated research, real-world evidence initiatives, and data generation.
  • Ensure compliant review and approval of medical and promotional materials, and alignment with governance and local regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Global Medical functions to support strategy execution, partner support, and cross-functional projects.
  • Oversee development and adaptation of medical materials, internal training, and continuous process improvement across ROW Medical Affairs.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or a related field, with strong scientific credibility.
  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs, including strategy development and execution across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and ability to navigate diverse cultural environments.
  • Excellent leadership skills, structured and collaborative approach, and high standards of compliance and execution.
  • Full proficiency in English and willingness to travel as required.
Benefits & Practicalities

Fully remote position based in Germany or Switzerland; up to 25% travel within the ROW region.
