About the role

Reporting to: Head of Pharmacy

Job type: Permanent

Working Pattern &

Hours:

This is a hybrid full‑time role, working 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday to Saturday between 7:00am and 8:00pm.

Location: The position is split between our Craigavon NI hub and working from home.

We are looking for Pharmacists to join the Chemist4U Northern Ireland hub, someone with the desire and ambition to make a real impact, contribute to an exciting journey, and help shape the future of the business. This non patient‑facing role will involve online prescription management service from prescription entry through to screening for dispensing. You will help to shape the prescription pathway and support delivery of the strategy as part of our digital and robotic transformation.

Key Responsibilities

As a pharmacist, the key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Clinical review of prescriptions: ensuring they are safe and appropriate for patients
  • Medication reviews:
    Conducting medication reviews to assess patients' medication needs and making recommendations for adjustments or changes
  • Patient education:
    Providing education on the proper use, dosage, and potential side effects of medications
  • Medication advice:
    Offering expert guidance on the proper use, dosage, and potential side effects of medications
  • Identifying and preventing medication errors:
    Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of medications to minimise the risk of adverse reactions
  • Provision and support of new pharmacy services.

You’ll be registered with the PSNI or GPhC and take pride in delivering high‑quality, accurate work. You have a great eye for detail and communicate confidently with those around you. Qualifications

& Experience

The successful pharmacist will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Registered with the PSNI or GPhC
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of clinical checks and medication management
  • Confident in reviewing prescriptions to ensure they are safe, appropriate, and meet patient needs
  • Experience supporting or delivering medication reviews, making recommendations where needed
  • Comfortable providing clear advice and guidance to patients, including usage, dosage and potential side effects
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and maintaining high quality standards
  • A proactive approach to identifying and preventing medication errors, putting patient safety first
  • A team player who communicates well and works collaboratively with colleagues.
