RoleOT and PT Assistant Practitioner
36 Hours - Permanent
This post will be based at Astley Ainslie Hospital and will require weekend working and public holidays as part of a rota system.
Responsibilities- Support the delivery of home-based rehabilitation services as part of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, including the design and implementation of an Enhanced Rehabilitation Service to augment existing community rehabilitation pathways.
- Assist in providing rehabilitation that historically has been delivered in inpatient settings, now provided in a home-based environment seven days a week.
- Work as a key member of the Enhanced Rehabilitation team with a commitment to collaborative working, high-quality interventions, and a person-centred approach.
- Develop skills across rehabilitation for a range of medical conditions, problem solving, quality improvement, and team building.
- Engage in personal and professional development with access to relevant training opportunities.
- Adhere to required regulatory and safeguarding processes, including PVG Scheme membership/record; where not currently a member, apply for Disclosure Scotland clearance before starting in post.
- Communicate with stakeholders and colleagues, including arranging discussions as needed.
- Commitment to collaborative working and a focus on delivering high-quality rehabilitation interventions.
- Ability to work with and support people to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Willingness to work across home-based rehabilitation pathways and adapt to a rota that includes weekends and public holidays.
- PVG Scheme membership/record or the ability to obtain clearance as a condition of employment.
- Good communication skills and a person-centred approach to care.
