Reporting to the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role combines patient care and commercial responsibilities. This hybrid role requires a strong leader passionate about healthcare, patients and driving a profitable business. The manager is accountable for delivering all pharmacy-related targets and deadlines, managing the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, and supporting the effort to make Asda Pharmacy best in class.

• Lead, coach and develop pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experience and exceptional patient safety.
• Take direct responsibility for support and development of all direct reports and locums; maintain high standards of professional customer service, compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
• Manage daily operations, including rota planning and ensuring appropriate coverage.
• Coordinate with in-store, regional and home office teams for clinical or service queries.
• Drive commercial performance and achieve key performance indicators.
• Handle difficult situations, resolve conflicts and maintain relationships within the store and with field teams.

• Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
• Accredited to deliver national and local NHS and private healthcare services.
• Experience balancing line management and clinical responsibilities.
• Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver results.
• Experience managing challenging situations and maintaining professional relationships.
• Valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, safeguarding qualifications, DBS check, and enrolment in the live update service.
