Community Support Worker; Footprints Day Program - Part Time

Exciting opportunities exist for the right individuals to join our progressive non‑profit organization as a Community Support Worker. The position entails providing supports to individuals at our Footprints Day Program in North Vancouver.

The program provides both community-based and home-based activities, including social, recreational, vocational, daily living skills, skill development and leisure recreation activities within a supported environment. Program and activity schedules are created to reflect the needs, preferences, and goals of each individual.

The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management and Personal Care. Sign language is an asset, and candidate must have at least 1-2 years of experience with personal care.

• Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours
• Ability to create a meaningful routine
• Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
• Following health care plans*

• Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
• Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills

• Class 4 or 5 BC Driver’s License preferred and clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum of 1-year experience

Part-time, Permanent

Monday to Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm (30 hours / week)
