This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Community Staff Nurse within the Intensive CAMHS service, supporting children and young people experiencing complex mental health difficulties in community and home settings. You will play a vital role in delivering rapid, responsive and compassionate care, including crisis intervention and recovery focused support. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
  • Full time, permanent
  • You will be based at the Templeton Business Centre
  • Working between Monday to Sunday
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessment, care planning and evidence based interventions to children and young people within community and home settings
  • Provide crisis intervention and intensive support as an alternative to hospital admission where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external agencies to support holistic care
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and carers promoting dignity respect and recovery
  • Monitor evaluate and adapt care plans in response to changing clinical needs and risks
  • Maintain accurate and up to date clinical records in line with professional and legal standards
  • Support and supervise less experienced staff and contribute to clinical education and service development
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Experience or knowledge of working with children and young people within a mental health setting
  • Understanding of mental health legislation and evidence based approaches to care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage patients families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work autonomously using initiative while managing competing demands
  • Strong organisational and clinical decision making skills in complex and dynamic environments
  • Full driving licence and willingness to work across community and home based settings
