Elevate mental health services for youth in the justice system with the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services team in Surrey, BC. This hybrid Licensed Psychologist role focuses on assessments and specialized counseling.
As a Licensed Psychologist within the BC Public Service, you will conduct independent psychological assessments and supervise junior psychologists. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential treatments to young people, thereby significantly contributing to their rehabilitation and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychological assessments for youth in the justice system
• Collaborate with clinicians for specialized counseling services
• Supervise and mentor junior psychologists and students
• Participate in research projects related to forensic psychology
• Develop effective treatment strategies for mental health support
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology required
• Registered or eligible for registration with CHCPBC
• Three years of experience in Clinical Adolescent Psychology preferred
• Postgraduate training in Forensic Psychology is a plus
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
