Position: Senior CRISS Clinician — 24/7 Crisis & Home Treatment

Senior CRISS Practitioner

The Crisis Resolution Intensive Support Service (CRISS) is a dynamic and flexible service which offers crisis assessments and home-based treatment over a 24hr period, 365 days a year for working age adults across the city. The service went through a change in 2024 to bring together crisis assessment and home based treatment in locality bases across the city in line with core fidelity standards.

We’re looking for skilled senior practitioners who can help shape the service going forward and are currently recruiting to one permanent and one temporary band 6 position. The temporary position can be offered as a 12 month contract, or as a secondment for internal applicants. Vacancies are within the West team based at St Mary’s Hospital in Armley.

Successful applicants will work across the service undertaking shift coordinator responsibilities, crisis assessments and home-based treatment interventions. We welcome applications from Occupational Therapists, Social Workers or Mental Health Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team. You will operate within a community setting, work within an MDT that aims to reduce admissions to hospital, facilitate early discharge through home-based treatment interventions, and work closely with inpatient and community services to provide an alternative to inpatient admission and support transition to community services.
