Job Description

The Elms clinic are looking for an experienced, driven and highly organised Registered CQC Manager to join our pleasant and forward thinking GP clinic. This is an excellent chance to play a vital leadership role in ensuring our practice delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services, remaining fully compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.

As our Registered CQC Manager you will be the nominated Registered Manager with the CQC and lead on quality assurance, governance, patient safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the practice.

About this position

You will partner closely with the Partners, Admin Manager, Operations Lead and clinical and administrative teams to ensure the practice is always compliant and exceeds regulatory standards.

Your duties will include:
  • Working as a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Leading the practice’s CQC compliance programme and ensuring ongoing inspection preparation.
  • Developing and embedding effective processes for governance and quality assurance.
  • Overseen clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement activities.
  • Lead investigations of incidents, serious occurrences and safeguarding concerns.
  • Updating the practice risk register and health and safety legislation compliance.
  • Coordination of audits and implementation of improvements.
  • Updating and reviewing practice policies and procedures.
  • Tracking necessary training and regulatory compliance.
  • Building a culture of continuous learning, patient safety and improvement throughout the practice.
About You

We are seeking somebody who has:

  • Experience of working in a GP practice or Primary Care setting.
  • Knowledge of CQC compliance and inspection management.
  • Good grasp of CQC Fundamental Standards and NHS Primary Care rules.
  • Clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management experience.
  • Excellent organising and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading audits, investigations and policy creation.
  • Ability to work autonomously while creating positive relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong IT abilities, including expertise using Microsoft Office and GP healthcare systems.
  • Experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
  • Knowledge of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding and Information Governance.
