Extra Care Service is a Care Quality Commission (CQC)-regulated service. As a Care Worker for the Extra Care Service, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to vulnerable adults aged 55 and over, including those with learning disabilities, helping them live independently in their own homes. Your responsibilities include supporting physical, social and emotional needs, maintaining hygiene, documenting care standards, and escorting service users to activities, all while upholding dignity and confidentiality.

  • Skilled in care planning and risk assessment, with a good understanding of IT systems, you will work effectively with a team and communicate clearly with Service Users, families and colleagues.

We are seeking individuals who embody our "PROUD" values:

  • Purpose and Respect – fostering belonging through active inclusion, kindness and open dialogue
  • Ownership – championing proactive collaboration and accountability for our shared success
  • Unity and Diversity – working as one Council to break down silos and champion anti‑racist behaviour
