The Role
SBDC supports children with developmental, learning, and emotional-regulation challenges through a holistic, integrated intervention model
. We are seeking a multi-disciplinary therapist who is able to blend sensory integration, play-based approaches, language and communication strategies, and cognitive-based interventions to help children build functional, real-life skills
—not just perform well within therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention across Sensory Processing/Integration, play-based therapy, emotional regulation & engagement, communication & language support, attention & focus, executive functions/higher-order thinking, and initiative/creative skills.
- Conduct observations/screening; develop individualised goals and intervention plans with home/school carryover where relevant.
- Track outcomes; maintain clear documentation (session notes, progress updates, recommendations).
- Coach parents with practical strategies for routines, co-regulation and follow-through at home.
- Collaborate with the team through case discussions, shared planning and appropriate referrals/handovers.
- Contribute to programme improvement through activity design, resource development and continuous learning.
- Degree (or equivalent) in OT, Speech & Language, Psychology, Special Education, Counselling, Early Childhood, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting children with sensory, behavioural, attention, learning, language or emotional needs (clinic/school/home-based).
- Strong rapport-building and session facilitation skills (warmth + structure).
- Comfortable integrating approaches; willing to be coached and trained.
- Clear communication and professional documentation; able to guide parents with clarity and care.
- Exposure/training in Sensory Integration, play therapy, behaviour support, executive function coaching, social communication or parent coaching.
- Experience writing goals/progress notes and participating in multidisciplinary case planning.
- Structured onboarding and mentoring in SBDC’s integrated framework.
- Collaborative team culture and meaningful, hands-on work with children and families.
- Growth pathways into Senior Therapist / Case Manager/ Training Manager / Programme Specialist tracks.
