Voluntary Services offers community involvement in the day to day running of our services. People choose to volunteer with us, some with lived experience, learnt experience and those wishing to gain experience for future careers

The post holder will provide support and assistance to the Voluntary Services Manager, Volunteer Development Officer, Community Development Officer and Operational Leads,

Main duties of the job

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Assist in the induction of all new volunteers.
  • Monitor and record information relating to training, volunteering and employment outcomes achieved by individuals being supported by Voluntary Services.
  • Undertake administrative and organisational duties involved in the effective and efficient running of voluntary services.
  • Deal with queries relating to information requirements for voluntary services and any documentation needed.
  • Compile statistics and create reports from databases as requested
  • Share with the VS team the planning and organisation of major events in the volunteer calendar.
  • Contribute to service development and activity data regularly.
  • Ensure volunteers have access and complete their individual training programmes that compliment service delivery.
  • Work with service users to support identified goals around training and volunteering.
  • Maintain staff net and other programme communications medias such as preparation of publicity and contribute to volunteer newsletters.
  • Write up simple user guides to assist staff and volunteers as directed by the manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft word, Microsoft teams and Outlook.

We also have a bank department, offering variety of roles in nursing, allied health professions, healthcare support worker and administration clerical. Permanent employees are automatically added to bank.

Applicants should be aware that individuals requiring a visa to work in the UK, the Trust only provides sponsorship for registered healthcare practitioner roles(this does not include Healthcare Support Workers). This is an essential requirement, and the Trust is unable to offer you a role if you do not meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa.
