Job Position Purpose / SummaryThe APAC Professional Education Specialist is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of clinical education programs for healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the Avanos Pain Management and Recovery and Speciality Nutrition System businesses. This role performs a crucial role in ensuring success of our educational initiatives throughout the APAC region and maintains strong relationships with consultant HCPs and vendors. This position supports various educational formats including speaker programs, labs, clinical observation, and practical workshops while ensuring compliance with Avanos processes and local regulations.
The APAC Professional Education Specialist will report directly to the International Professional Education Manager of the Global Medical Sciences and Global Education (MSGE) Department.
Job Position ScopeHybrid/Remote based out of Avanos Singapore Office
Job Position Accountabilities / Expectations- Perform any duties assigned by International Professional Education Manager and the Associate Director of the MSGE Department
- Support and achieve all AVANOS initiatives and department goals.
- Program Support:
Plan and execute professional education activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with applicable regulations. - Contracting: support the contracting process for vendors, HCP faculty, and facilities by proposing agreements and coordinating with stakeholders to finalize contracts.
- Event Planning and Logistics Coordination:
Support logistical, creative, and editorial components of education programs from start to finish, encompassing event set-up and processing purchase orders and invoices. - Collect and report data on program effectiveness, using feedback to improve educational offerings.
- Track program expenses and support budget management by ensuring timely processing of invoices and alignment with allocated budgets.
Provide regular status updates on educational programs to cross-functional partners. - Work closely with business unit leadership to identify educational needs and cultivate relationships with HCP faculty.
- Compliance Adherence:
Ensure all educational activities comply with relevant laws and ethical guidelines.
Support the organization to ensure an adequate and effective quality management system, supports the quality policy and sustains a quality culture.
- Availability for domestic travel (50%) to support program engagements.
- Ability to support programs across multiple countries and time zones within the APAC region.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; allied health professional, business, education or medical device industry experience preferred - Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in project management, event planning or related roles; experience in supporting professional education programs/events; or experience in medical device product training - Multilingual; fluent in English speaking, writing, and reading.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate project timelines across teams located in different time zones.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, familiarity with preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
