Neurodevelopmental Practitioner - Specialist Children’s Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Specialist Children's Services on a temporary basis, supporting neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention across the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Pathway in the west of the city.

As a valued member of the West ND Team, you will play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary assessments and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.

This post is suitable for an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or Registered Nurse, offering the opportunity to work collaboratively within an integrated team while contributing your professional expertise to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

• This is a fixed-term post for 6 months, working part-time hours (21.6)
• You will be based at The West Centre, Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel, G15 7TS
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for children and young people, providing post-diagnostic support and consultancy across the wider Children's Services team in the west of the city. Working closely with colleagues from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Specialist Community Paediatrics and Education, you will apply your professional expertise to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will demonstrate the unique value of your profession while supporting children, young people and their families, using evidence-based practice and effective communication to achieve positive outcomes.

You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the service by working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and sharing your knowledge and expertise.

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), or another relevant professional body.
• Relevant professional qualification as an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or Registered Nurse.
• Experience of neurodevelopmental assessment, diagnosis and support strategies.
• Experience of assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences is desirable.
• Ability to demonstrate the unique contribution of your profession within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills, with experience of working effectively with children, young people and their families.
• Well organised, motivated and able to manage a varied workload.
• A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development through regular supervision and training opportunities.
