Mindset First Mental Health & Performance Inc. is a mental health and performance-focused practice located in the heart of Vaughan, Ontario, offering both in-person and virtual services. The practice provides therapy for children, individuals, couples, and families, as well as mental performance consulting for athletes and other professionals. A multidisciplinary team of psychotherapists, social workers, and mental performance consultants supports a wide range of clients, including athletes, coaches, and parents.
The team is dedicated to fostering supportive therapeutic relationships that promote cognitive, emotional, and spiritual healing and growth, and has served thousands of individuals in their personal and performance journeys.
The Registered Psychotherapist will provide individual therapy to children (7 and up) and adults. Experience with couples and family is an asset. We offer a hybrid work model, based in Concord, ON with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-informed interventions, and maintaining accurate, confidential clinical documentation.
Qualifications- Registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or another relevant regulatory college.
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work (Clinical), or a related mental health field.
- 2+ years of experience providing psychotherapy to both children and adults
- Strong foundation in evidence-based therapies.
- Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling to support individuals, couples, and families.
- Excellent communication, rapport-building, and risk-assessment skills, with a commitment to ethical and culturally responsive practice.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing a clinical caseload and scheduling with flexibility.
The following are considered strong assets:
- EMDR training
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training
- Training in other evidence-based specialty modalities (e.g., IFS, ACT, OCD treatment, play therapy, somatic approaches, trauma-focused therapies, etc.)
- Experience integrating multiple therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
Applicants must be available for:
- A minimum of one weekday evening
- A minimum of one weekday daytime
- Saturday availability is considered a strong asset
