Patient Pathway Manager – HIV
In your role as a Patient Pathway Manager (HIV), you will oversee collaboration and engagement with key accounts, institutions, and stakeholders in the field of infectious diseases to drive innovative business solutions that enhance patient access to medicines.
This includes identifying barriers that hinder effective product utilization within specific institutions, and developing and implementing strategic plans to overcome these challenges.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiscover & Partner
- Build strategic, collaborative external relationships with targeted institutional stakeholders; engage and partner to develop patient-focused solutions that optimize the patient journey within hospitals and/or Patient Support Programs (PSP)/Healthcare System Solutions (HSS).
- Investigate, map, and understand current patient models of care across assigned institutions, including:
- Site‑specific or regional treatment pathways
- Policies, protocols, and workflows for HIV medicines
- Key influencers and decision makers
- Systems/software integration relevant to PSP implementation
- Identify clinical, economic, and operational gaps and barriers, and lead the development and execution of innovative solutions to improve patient access and outcomes.
- Accelerate success by optimizing the patient journey through solutions that address patient pain points, align with brand priorities, and consider health system barriers.
- Demonstrate leadership by gathering and sharing timely insights from the external healthcare community to inform cross‑functional activities.
- Support institutional decision‑making that enables integration of new treatments and optimal placement within care pathways, in line with the approved label.
- Evaluate the PSP/HSS customer experience for each assigned institution and communicate performance on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
- Identify regional trends and share insights with the Commercial team.
- Support institutions during transitional periods.
- Conduct in‑depth analyses to uncover care gaps, local barriers, and customer needs to support strategic objectives.
- Drive operational excellence and innovation to optimize care pathways, continuously improving processes as PSP/HSS evolves.
We are looking for professionals with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in infectious disease/HIV and strategic account management, working with high‑influence stakeholders in hospital and institutional settings.
- Strong background in pharmaceutical industry, life sciences, medical, nursing, patient advocacy groups, or NGOs.
- Project management experience, with excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to build credible external relationships and influence key decision makers.
- Strong business acumen and sense of urgency.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity—confidence to explore, understand, and shape current and future states within institutions.
- Self‑motivated, accountable, and committed to achieving business goals.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive improvement.
- Excellent communication, engagement, and presentation skills.
- Solutions‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
- High standards of governance and compliance with GSK policies, healthcare laws, and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- University degree (health sciences or business administration preferred).
The following would be an asset:
- Advanced degree.
- Strong understanding of HIV markets and disease landscape.
- Established relationships with HCPs and stakeholders in infectious disease.
- Experience in markets with complex reimbursement and treatment pathways.
- Experience launching products in a new therapeutic area.
