We have an exciting opportunity for a registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Community Directorate Pharmacy Service within our Stewartry Cluster.
We are looking for a motivated, proactive and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to work as part of our GP practice clinical pharmacy service, supporting patients across our Pharmacy Hubs and GP practices.
You will join a friendly and supportive team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers who play a key role within the primary care multidisciplinary team. The team supports medicines management, medication review and safe, effective use of medicines across Dumfries and Galloway.
In this rewarding role, you will provide a clinical pharmacy service directly to patients. Day-to-day responsibilities may include medicines reconciliation, medication reviews with patients, responding to medicines-related queries and assessing patients’ ability to manage their medicines, which may include visits to patients’ homes.
You will work closely with GP practice staff, colleagues in acute services, community pharmacies and wider Health and Social Care teams to support safe and joined-up patient care.
Education, training and development are extremely important to us. You will be supported by a comprehensive induction plan and have access to ongoing development opportunities, including support from our dedicated education and training team. This will be particularly valuable for anyone joining the Community Directorate Pharmacy Team from another sector.
For further information about the role and the skills and experience required, please refer to the job description and person specification.
For informal enquiries, please contact Ellie McKean, Cluster Lead Pharmacy Technician, Stewartry, by email ean2t.
