The role:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals seeking a new opportunity to join the largest Podiatry Service in Scotland.

The Podiatry Service aims to deliver high-quality care to patients and their carers through the provision of triage, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient groups across a variety of environments. The service is patient-centred and needs-led, with clinical assessment and diagnosis informing management plans tailored to individual patient needs. There is a strong focus on rehabilitation, with self-care elements incorporated into treatment plans where appropriate.

All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Permanent, Full-time - 36 Hours

Shift Pattern - Monday, Tuesday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm;
Wednesday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm

Base location - NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), with engagement across NHS Scotland.

Key responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and delivery of practice-based learning opportunities for undergraduate podiatry students.
Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to patients with complex needs.
Integrate within local and wider NHSGC Podiatry teams to support service delivery.
Liaise and collaborate with Higher Education Institution (HEI) colleagues to support the delivery of practice-based learning.
Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the quality of clinical education and student placement experiences.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Awareness of practice education within a practice-based learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
Self-discipline and the ability to work independently and effectively.
A commitment to demonstrating caring and compassionate behaviours.
Understanding of person-centred care principles and rehabilitation-focused practice.
